Dorothy C. Miller, 94, of 1705
Madison Street, Rochester, Ind., and a former longtime resident
of Mishawaka, Ind., died at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 12, in the
Extendacare Center in Rochester. Mrs. Miller was born on Oct. 28,
1904, in Spiceland, Ind., to Etta (Mendenhall) and Richard
Wilson, and was the last of ten children.
She was married in Mishawaka on Oct. 4, 1935
to Harry B. Miller, who preceded her in death in 1949. Mrs.
Miller was a retired accounts receivable clerk at the former U.
S. Rubber Company in Mishawaka. She was a former member of the
First United Methodist Church in Mishawaka, and active in the
choir for sixty-five years. A current member of the Trinity
United Methodist Church in Rochester, and Morning Glory Circle,
Mrs. Wilson had also been active with the South Bend-Mishawaka
Meals-on- Wheels Program and the Bashor Home Auxiliary. She is
survived by on daughter, Mrs. Dick (Marjorie) Bounsall of
Rochester; two grandsons, Phillip A. Bounsall and wife, Judi, of
Carmel, Ind., and Jeffrey D. Bounsall of Terre Haute, Ind.; and
by one great-granddaughter, Lauren E. Bounsall. She was preceded
in death by five sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on
Friday in the Zimmerman Family Funeral Home in Rochester, with
visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today. The Rev. Don Brenneman will
officiate. Committal services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday in the
St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, Granger, Ind. Memorial
donations may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church,
Rochester.
