Camilla J. Miles, 98, formerly of Chamberlain Drive, South Bend, Ind., died on Friday, Dec. 11, in Raleigh, North Carolina while visiting her granddaughter.
She was born on August 4, 1900 in South Bend, living here all of her life.
On Sept. 29, 1926, in South Bend, as Camilla Adelsperger, she married John Francis Miles. He died in 1982.
Camilla was a member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church and had been a volunteer at Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center in South Bend.
She is survived by four granddaughters, Margaret Joffe of Slidell, La., Eileen Donahue of Bradenton, Fla., Carol Moran of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Kathleen Winwood of Raleigh, N.C.; eight great-grandchildren; and by a nephew, James Frances Gilroy of South Bend.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Moran in 1993; her son, Jack Miles, who died in 1968; and by a grandson, John Moran, who died earlier this year.
Services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood.
