June 3, 1915 - Oct. 16, 2000

South Bend Tribune 10/18/2000

Wilma J. Milburn, 85, passed away very peacefully and with no pain on Monday, Oct. 16, in the Healthwin Care Center. Wilma was born in South Bend, Ind., on June 3, 1915, the daughter of Ira and Mary Mikesell, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Milburn.

Wilma leaves many grieving friends, among them her co-workers at the Studebaker Corporation as well as those at Bendix/Allied-Signal, whose friendship she valued very highly. Wilma retired from the Mishawaka Division of Bendix/Allied Signal on April 1, 1985. She was also an avid bridge player, and leaves behind many of her bridge/lunch friends to cherish her memory. Wilma was a pet lover and told her friends of the many antics with which her pet dogs, Oscar and Chung Li, amused her. We all miss her, and having known her was a privilege.

There will be no visitation. Services will be at 1 p.m. today, Oct. 18, in the Guisinger Funeral Home, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, with burial at Riverview Cemetery. To honor Wilma, friends are asked to make contributions to a charity of their choice.
