Helen "Lu" Mikulyuk, 68, of
East McKinley Avenue, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away very suddenly
at 10:31 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1, in the St. Joseph Community
Hospital emergency room. Helen was born on Nov. 21, 1931, in
Mishawaka, to the late Olga (Stasula) and Anton Moshak.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Rice on
Nov. 25, 1989; and by three sisters, Pauline Jerzak, Katherine
VanHuffel and Olga Grubbs.
As Helen Moshak, she married Andrew Mikulyuk
in Mishawaka on Oct. 3, 1959. He survives. She is also survived
by a son, Mark (Maureen) Mikulyuk of Mishawaka; three
grandchildren, Mindy Mikulyuk, Alexis Mikulyuk and Sammy A.
Mikulyuk, all of Mishawaka; three brothers, Bill (Cathrine)
Moshak of Mishawaka, John (Helen) Moshak of Skokie, Ill., and
Anthony Moshak of Beardstown, Ill.; and by four sisters, Rosa
(James) Mitchell of Mishawaka, Tillie (Gale) Winrote
of South Bend, Ind., Mary (Armond) Hacker of South Bend
and Anne Grzeskowiak of Mishawaka. Helen worked at
Uniroyal in the office for a number of years, and was a member of
St. Monica Catholic Church, Mishawaka.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Oct. 3, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, where a wake service will be at 7 p.m. today. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in St. Monica Catholic Church. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
