Dorothy M. Mikulyuk
July 11, 1925 - May 9, 2002
Dorothy M. Mikulyuk, 76, of East 6th Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away on Thursday, May 9, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend, Ind.
Dorothy was born in Mishawaka on July 11, 1925, as the daughter of the late Rene and Mary (Leivens) Biesbrouck. Dorothy was also preceded in death by a sister, Albertina De Block; and by five brothers, Ivo, Julius, Albert, Joseph and Henry Biesbrouck.
On May 25, 1944, in St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, as Dorothy Biesbrouck, she married Michael Mikulyuk, who survives. She is also survived by a daughter, Cheryl (Steven) Livingston of Osceola, Ind.; two sons, Terry (Marysue) Mikulyuk of Mishawaka and Ronald Mikulyuk of Columbus, Ind.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and by a sister, Mayme Verslype of Mishawaka.
Dorothy was a lifetime area resident. She worked for Morfam for 18 years before retiring in 1990. She liked to travel. She played bingo and liked playing instant lottery.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 12, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, where a Rosary will be recited at 3 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 13, in St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. Barry England officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
