Wilford A. Michels

Wilford A. Michels, Rt. 1, box 24, South Bend, died of a heart ailment at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the home of his son, Cletus W., with whom he made his home.  He was born Oct. 17, 1875 in Mishawaka, and lived in LaPorte, Ind., for many years before his retirement as chief inspector for the Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Company.  His wife Catherine died in 1905 and a second wife, Margaret, died in 1938.  Also surviving are two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur, South Bend, and Albert, Caladonia, Mich., and a sister, Mrs. Rose Nieter, South Bend.  Friends may call in the McGann Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today until funeral services at 8 a.m. Saturday in St. Monica’s Catholic Church, Mishawaka.  Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Mishawaka.
