Mishawaka - Katherine E. Michels, 84, of 122 S. Victoria St., died at 12:24 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph Hospital. 

She was born Nov. 22, 1899, in Penn Twp., and lived in this area all her life.  On April 22, 1922, in Mishawaka, as Katherine Edwards, she married Hugh E. Michels, who survives.  Also surviving is a sister, Ruth Huston of Santa Paula, Calif.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home. 

Burial will be in the St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. 

Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. 

She was a member of the East United Methodist Church and the AARP.
