John P. Michele

John P. Michele, 85, of Lincoln Way
West, Osceola, Ind., passed away at 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 8,
in his daughter's home.
Mr. Michele was born on Feb. 25, 1915, in
Toluca, Ill., as the son of the late Michael and Marie (Serri)
Michele. He was also preceded in death by two sisters and three
brothers.
In 1936, in Goshen, Ind., he married the
former Carolyn Jennings, who preceded him in death on Aug.
18, 1968. He remarried on Aug. 16, 1969, in South Bend, Ind., to
the former Bertha M. Sossoman, who also preceded him in
death on April 1, 2000.
Mr. Michele is survived by one daughter,
Sandra (Don) DeLee of Mishawaka; a son, Michael (Nancy)
Michele, Sr., of Mishawaka; seven grandchildren, Douglas (Angie)
DeLee of Granger, Ind., Dr. Steven DeLee of Grand Blanc, Mich.,
Andrea DeLee of Dunedin, Fla., Michael (Shannon) Michele, Jr., of
South Bend, Christopher Michele of Dillon, Colo., Matthew Michele
of South Bend and Allison Michele of Mishawaka; and by five
great-grandchildren.
He retired from the former Uniroyal after 30
years in 1975. There he worked in the salesroom and warehouse.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m.
on Monday, April 10, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street,
Mishawaka. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, in
the Hahn Funeral Home. Rev. Kevin Zuber of Mishawaka Grace
Brethren Church will officiate.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers,
that donations be made to the American Heart Association, Dept.
