Mrs. Mary Ellen Michalski, 83, of 528 Euclid Ave., died Tuesday afternoon in her residence after a brief illness. She was born on March 9, 1896, in Berrien County, Mich., and had lived in South Bend most of her life. Her husband, Casimer, died in 1964. Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Margaret McNary of Tucson, Ariz., and a nephew, William Havener of South Bend. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Holy Cross Catholic Church. Rev. Jacob A. Smith, C.S.C, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
