Betty L. Meuninck

Betty Lou Meuninck, 79, of Congress Ave, South Bend, passed away Tuesday, September 4 in Memorial Hospital.
Betty was born on June 24, in Mishawaka as the daughter of the late Joseph and Elinor (Hanson) Wachs. Betty was also preceded in death by a brother Robert Wachs.
On July 25, 1942 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, as Betty Wachs, she married Fred Meuninck, who survives. Betty is also survived by four sons, Fred Meuninck Jr. of South Bend, Craig (Pat) Meuninck of Mishawaka, Gary (Rae Ann) Meuninck of Blue Springs, MO and Jon Meuninck of South Bend; three grandchildren, James P. (Teri) Meuninck of South Bend, Melissa Meuninck of Mishawaka, and Joshua Meuninck of Blue Springs, MO; and a brother, Richard Wachs of South Bend.
Betty was a lifetime area resident. She was a member of St. Anthony's De Padua Catholic Church, South Bend; a coordinator for C.C.D. School and Christ Child.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 3 p.m. on Thursday, September 6, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 7 in St. Anthony's De Padua Catholic Church, South Bend. Rev. Terry Fisher will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
