surrounded by many close family members. Lois was a gracious
giver and a devote Christian who brought many lives to the Saving
Grace of Jesus. One of her favorite scriptures is found in Cor.
28:9 "Serve Him with a perfect heart and a willing

family loved and adored her and will miss her tender soft words,
but we will rejoice in the Lord because she is now face-to-face
with our loving God. Lois was saved by grace at a young age and
was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mishawaka for 65
years. Lois served for 4 years in West Africa as a missionary
nurse working with the Baptist Mid Missions. After the time in
the missionary field she worked for 43 more years as an RN in a
few local hospitals and nursing facilities around Mishawaka and
South Bend area. On November 9, 1950 in Grand Rapids, MI., as
Lois M. Harshman she married Edwin H. Metzler. Edwin survives

LaLonde of Lakeland, FL, Kevin (Elizabeth) Blake of Mishawaka,
IN, and Joshua (Jessica) Blake of Mishawaka, IN, seven great
grandchildren, two sisters, Emma Lou Massa of Milford, IN, and
