MISHAWAKA - Services for Pearl Z. Metzger, 88, of Countryside Place, formerly of 817 Ann St., who died at 7:45 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Hospital, of natural causes, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church of Mishawaka. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St.

Mrs. Metzger was born on Dec. 13, 1905, in Rogers, Ky. On July 23, 1928, in Mishawaka, she married John C. Metzger. He died in 1958. She is survived by a daughter, Clodine F. Hamilton of Mishawaka; a son, Charles L. of Gordon, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Porter Whisman of South Bend. A son, Jack L. Hobbs, died on Jan. 13, 1994.
