Mildred Metcalfe

Feb. 21, 1904-June 11, 1995

SOUTH BEND - Mildred Metcalfe, 91, of Southwood Avenue, died at 6:15 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Metcalfe was born Feb. 21, 1904, in St. Joseph and lived in South Bend for 65 years. On Aug. 21, 1932, in Indianapolis, as Mildred Sinn, she married Raymond W. Metcalfe. He died in 1957. She is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Smith of Lincoln, Neb., and Judith Bock of Lafayette, Ind.; a son, Robert of Anchorage, Alaska; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Fern Sinn of South Bend. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the church. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
