Mary A. Merrill, 74, of Edison Road, Osceola, Ind., died at 1:45 p.m. Friday, July 11, in the Regency Place of South Bend. She was born on March 9, 1929, in Whitley County, Ind., to the late Bessie and Jessie Gordon. On Feb. 11, 1961, in South Bend, Ind., she married Elmer Merrill, who survives. Mrs. Merrill is also survived by three sisters and a brother, Edna Yoqrel of Harding, Ark., Evelyn Rollins, Delores Bingham and Howard Gordon, all of Churubusco, Ind. Mrs. Merrill was a delivery person for the South Bend Tribune. She adored her dogs, Pepsi and Mackie and she truly loved the out of doors, where she enjoyed to garden and cut the grass.

Services for Mrs. Merrill will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St., South Bend. Rev. Ed Erskin will conduct the services. Friends may call form 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, in the funeral home. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. The family request that Memorial contributions be made to the Donor's Choice.
