Wilbur W. Mell Sr., 66 of  913 E. Dubail Ave., died at 6:20 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital following an illness of several years.  He was born March 9, 1898 in Vandalia, Michigan., and had lived since childhood in South Bend, On Feb 14, 1919, at St. Joseph, he was married to Pearl Blue who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Wilbur W. Jr., of South Bend, and Robert C., at home; one daughter, Mrs. Winifred Vanden Bossche, South Bend, and seven grandchildren.  Friends may call at the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home from noon Sunday until services in the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Monday.  Rev. Ernest W. Scarbrough, pastor of the Donmoyer Avenue Church of Chris, will officiate.  Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
