SOUTH BEND - Louis E. Mejer, 55, of 815 S. Lombardy Drive, died at 4:15 a.m. today in his home after an illness. Mr. Mejer was a former employee of RACO Inc. He was born July 6, 1939, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On April 29, 1961, in South Bend, he married Sharlene Stachowski. She survives with a daughter, Tammy Semrinec of Niles; two sons, John of Rolling Prairie and Ronald of South Bend; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Lucille Bundy of South Bend and Alice Wentland of Roseland. He was an Army veteran.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
