SOUTH BEND - Phillip E. Meixel, 73, of 26th Street, was found dead in his home about 8 p.m. Sunday of natural causes. Mr. Meixel was born Dec. 14, 1921, in South Bend. He is survived by a companion, Joyce Alderfer of Mishawaka; and two sisters, Mary Kathryn Bunnell of Houston and Virginia N. Fagen of Naples, Fla. He was a member of Kappa Delta Rho Fraternity, Elks Lodge 235 and Moose Lodge, Elkhart, treasurer of Moose Krause Hall of Fame and a veteran of World War II.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Hahn Funeral Home, Mishawaka. Memorial contributions may be made to Moose Krause Hall of Fame or any charity.
