Theodore H. Meier

Theodore H. Meier, 95, of Tanager Lane, South Bend, passed away on the evening of March 27th in the Hospice House of South Bend. Theodore was born in Muncie, Indiana, on August 10, 1909, to the late Henry F. A. and Dorothy Meier.

Theodore married Clarice Bearup in Syracuse, New York, on December 31, 1935, she preceded him in death on April 12, 1994. Theodore served in the US Army during World War II, on a 50 caliber machine gun crew. He graduated from Syracuse University, where he also played football. Theodore was an Assistant Vice-President with Associates Investment Company.

Theodore is survived by two sons: Theodore J. (Dorothy) Meier, of Traverse City, Michigan; and Henry Meier, of Mishawaka. He is also survived by one granddaughter: Julie M. (John) Kaser, of South Bend, along with three great grandchildren.

There will be no services, as Theodore requested. Cremation has taken place, and the ashes are going to be buried in a cemetery in Michigan at a later date. Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, is handling the arrangements.
