Sister M. Benno Meier CSC, 90, of Saint Mary’s Convent, died there at 11:15 a.m. Monday. She was born Maria Meier, Sept 23, 1898 in Vilbiburg, Bavaria. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross on Oct.8 1922, coming from Vibiburg. She was received as a novice Aug. 15, 1925 and professed her vows Aug. 15, 1925. She served in the culinary departments of the convents of the Sisters of the Holy Cross. Her assignments were in Fresno, Calif., Los Angeles, Ventura, Calif. Fort Wayne, South Bend, Michigan City and the University of Notre Dame.
