Sister M. Adalwarda Meger

MISHAWAKA - Sister M. Adalwarda Meger, OSF, 95, of Our Lady of Angels, St. Francis Convent, died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in her residence. Sister M. Adalwarda was born July 26, 1898, in Konita, Poland, as Agatha Meger. She entered the convent on May 1, 1920, in Olpe, Germany; received her Franciscan habit April 26, 1921; and final vows on June 29, 1929. She retired in 1982 to Our Lady of Angels after serving as a supervisor in dietary department of hospitals in Indiana and Kentucky. She is survived by several nieces and nephews in Poland.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the chapel of St. Francis Convent. Burial will be in St. Francis Convent Cemetery. A wake will be at 6:45 p.m. Thursday in the convent chapel. Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
