MISHAWAKA – Zona E. Mead, 89, of 212 W. Logan St, died at 7:35am today at St Joseph Hospital.  Mrs. Mead was a retired school teacher.

She was born June 23, 1899, in Belvidere NB.  On July 8, 1922, in South Bend, as Zona Morehouse, she married Harry F. Mead, who preceded her in death.  She is survived by three grandchildren, Antoinette Hassard of Venecia CA, Ross Rulli of Rockport MA and Tom Rulli of Mishawaka; and 11 great grandchildren.  A daughter, Merrilyn J. Rulli, preceded her in death.  She was a member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 2, South Bend.

Private graveside and burial will be at Highland Cemetery, South Bend.  Cremation will take place at Michiana Crematory, South Bend.  Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
