SOUTH BEND - Mary C. McWilliams, 82,
of Meridian Nursing Center-Cardinal, died at 8:25 p.m. Monday in
the nursing center. Mrs. McWilliams was born June 2, 1913, in
Norwalk, Conn., and lived in South Bend most of her life.
On Nov. 18, 1933, in South Bend, as Mary Vena,
she married Clarence McWilliams. He died Nov. 8, 1988. She is
survived by four daughters, Arlene Gregory and Saundra L. Six,
both of South Bend, Victoria Wolf of Walkerton, and Judith
A. Batchlor of Ogden, Utah; 11 grandchildren; 23
great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Louise
Daurer of Chicago; and two brothers, John Vena of Chicago
and Daniel Vena of Detroit.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Forest
G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood Drive. Burial will be in
Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8
p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be
made to Jehovah's Witnesses Congregation-Roseland.
