MISHAWAKA - Vivian McNeely, 81, a lifelong resident of Mishawaka
died peacefully on Wednesday morning at Golden Living Center. She
was an active and well loved resident of the center which she
called home since October of 2008 due to health challenges.
Vivian was a loving mother of four children, Kenneth R. McNeely
of Mishawaka, IN, Evelyn (Walter) James of Mishawaka, IN, Anna
(Dennis) Kaczmarek of Goshen, IN, and Brenda (Mark) DeMateo of
Cedar Lake, IN; seven children were privileged to call her
Grandma and five children enjoyed stories on Great-Grandma's
knee. Preceding her in death are sisters, Lucille Moore of
Granger, IN, and Orleta Shoemake of Osceola, IN. She is survived
by a sister, Alma (Don) Stroup of Lodi, CA. Many nieces and
nephews will miss visiting Aunt Viv! Vivian is a former employee
of Uniroyal (Ball Band) and retired in 1990 from St. Joseph
Regional Medical Center after 21 years of service in the dietary
department. Vivian was an active member at First Baptist Church
in Mishawaka for over 25 years. Pastor David Miller will
officiate at a funeral celebration of Vivian's life and home
going on Saturday, February 27th at 11 a.m. in Bubb Funeral
Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, where friends may call
one hour prior to the service and also on Friday, February 26th
from 3 to 8 p.m. in Bubb Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at
Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.
