Lillian M. McMillan

Lillian M. McMillan, 94, longtime resident of South Bend and Mishawaka, Ind., died Sunday, Sept. 16th, at her recent residence in Mendham, N.J., where she had lived since 1997.
Born Lillian Bickel in Mishawaka, she was the last surviving member of seven brothers and sisters and their spouses. Her last personal residence in South Bend had been for 25 years in the Park Jefferson Apartments.
She was a homemaker and longtime member of the First Methodist Church in South Bend where she had been active in many groups, especially at the Budget Corner. She was known for her generosity to charitable organizations.
Her husband, Glenn D. McMillan, died in 1968.
She is survived by a son, Lawrence G. McMillan of Randolph, N.J.; a stepson, Richard A. McMillan of Annandale, Va.; a stepson, Arthur N. Ferrettie of Mishawaka; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and by numerous nieces and nephews, some of whom live in the South Bend area.
A graveside memorial service to inter her ashes will be held later this fall at the St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
