Mishawaka - James H. McMillan, 82, of 1115 E. 3rd, died unexpectedly at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Hospital, where he had been a patient for two weeks.
Born in Mishawaka on Nov. 29, 1892, McMillan was a lifetime resident of the city. He was a 1957 retiree of Uniroyal, Inc., where he had been employed for 39 years.
On Jan. 29, 1913, in Mishawaka he married Ruth L. Packer, who survives.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Bubb Funeral Chapel. McMillan was a member of the First Christian Church; Mishawaka Lodge 130, Free & Accepted Masons, of which he was past master; Scottish Rite, and Mishawaka Chapter 267, Order of Eastern Star, of which he was past patron.
A living memorial in his name will be established at the Masonic Home, Franklin, Ind. The Mishawaka lodge will conduct a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

Services for James H. McMillan, 82, of 1115 E. 3rd, who died at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel. Rev. Raymond D. Harris, D.D., pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate and burial will be in Mishawaka City Cemetery.
Friends may call in the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
Memorial contributions can be made to the First Christian Church building fund.
