Funeral services for Brother Xystus CSC,
whose worldly name was William McGraw, were held at Sacred Heart
Church, Notre Dame, yesterday. Internment was in the community
cemetery.
He was born in New York state in 1855. He
came to Notre Dame in 1870. For 10 years he taught n St. Edward’s
College, Austin, Texas. He returned to Notre Dame about 20 years
ago.
