Sister M. Anna Regina CSC, 94, of Saint Mary’s
Convent, died at 1:30 a.m. today in the convent. She was born
Anna Catherine McGlenon on Aug.5, 1894 in Oakland, Calif. and
entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, Saint
Mary’s on July 2, 1915 in San Francisco, Calif. She was
received as a novice Dec. 10, 1915 and professed her vows Dec.
10, 1917. She was assigned to teaching and served in business
offices of hospitals. She came to St. Mary’s Convent in 1971
and was assigned to supervision of the laundry and placed in
charge of cancelled stamps. She also repaired rosaries. Before
coming to St. Mary’s she served in California, Illinois
Idaho, New Mexico, Texas and Utah. She was assigned to St.
Catherine’s Retirement Home in Ventura, Calif. in 1977,
returning to St. Mary’s in 1985.
Services will be at 8 a.m. Saturday in Our
Lady of Loretto Church with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery,
St. Mary’s. Friends may call after 3:30 in St. Mary’s
Convent, where a wake will be at 7 p.m.
