SOUTH BEND - Christopher "Spanky" McGhee, 37, of South Bend, IN passed away September 17, 2008. He was born July 5, 1971 in Mishawaka, IN to the late Henry McGhee, and Judy (Castetter) Artley, who survives in Elkhart. Also surviving him are three brothers, Rick (Michelle) Artley of SB, Scott Artley of Mishawaka, and John Smith of Elkhart; two sisters, Kim Artley of SB and Heather (Rick) O'Connell of Mishawaka; and many nieces, nephews and friends, who will miss him dearly. Chris will be remembered for being a very social person. He had a contagious smile. He was a member of the Diloreto Society. He was an avid Cubs, Notre Dame and NASCAR fan. He would go to as many games and races as he could.

Cremation has taken place.
