Margaret B. McGee, 87, of South Bend, Ind., passed away at 9:20 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend, following a stroke she suffered on Saturday in her home. She was born Jan. 31, 1915, in Bremen, Ind., as the daughter of Herman R. and Daisy I. (Laser) Larson, and had been a resident of the River Park area for many years. She retired as a sales clerk from Ault Camera Shop in South Bend.

On Oct. 23, 1938, in South Bend, as Margaret Larson, she married Ralph Ezra McGee, who passed away on Feb. 16, 1995. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Clara Fisher on June 12, 2000; and by a brother, Hurbert D. "Red" Larson on Oct. 23, 2001. Mrs. McGee is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Dr. Paul Elliott of South Bend; two grandchildren, Michael Paul Elliott (Lisa DeLisio) and Cindy Pfeffer, both of Park Forest, Ill.; and her four great-grandchildren, Catherine and Jason Pfeffer, and Deaven and Hannah Elliott. Also surviving are her sister, Irene Johnson of South Bend; a sister-in-law, Lois Larson of South Bend; her niece, Linda (Dan Lisenko) Paschke of South Bend; and her nephew, Hubert (Ann) Larson of Kentland, Ind.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Rev. Edgar Erskin, pastor of Northway Church of Christ, will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 21, in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park.
