Raymond McFarren: (South Bend Tribune 12/24/2000)

Aug. 24, 1910 - Dec. 22, 2000 Raymond McFarren, 90, formerly of Whitcomb Avenue, South Bend, Ind., died at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 22, in the Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born on Aug. 24, 1910, in Osceola, Ind., to Roy and Bessie McFarren, who preceded him in death. On. Oct. 29, 1939, he married Irene Reiter, who also preceded him in death on May 31, 1992. He is survived by a sister-in-law, Loretta Ritschard; and by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He retired from Drewerys in 1973. Family and friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 26, in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where services will be held at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
