Sister Mary Alodia CSC, of St. Mary’s College, died at 8:25 p.m. Thursday in the college infirmary. Born Mary McElligott in Ireland on Dec. 25, 1862, she entered the convent in 1888 and received the habit in 1889. She took her final vows in 1891. A retired cook and domestic, she served convents in Washington DC, Texas, Iowa, Maryland and South Bend for more than 50 years.

Friends may call in the infirmary parlors. The funeral is scheduled for Saturday with burial in the community cemetery.
