Sister Mary Alicia CSC, of the Sisters of Holy Cross died Saturday afternoon in St. Mary’s Convent. She had been in pooor health for several years, but her death followed a brief final illness. She was born Mary Z. McDonald in Lancaster, Ohio in 1868, and entered the Sister of the Holy Cross in 1887. She received her habit in 1888 and made her profession of final vows in 1893.

She taught for many years in Holy Cross schools until retiring to the mother house here. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Requiem High Mass will be celebrated in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto on the St. Mary’s Campus at 6 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, St. Mary’s. Friends may call in the convent parlors.
