NORTH LIBERTY - James Edward McDonald, 76, of North Liberty, IN,
passed away at 5:30 p.m. Monday, February 15, 2010, in Hospice
House. He was born on May 2, 1933, in Chicago, IL, to the late
Harry Boyd and Stella (Stone) McDonald. Mr. McDonald is survived
by his wife of 47 years, Susan McDonald of North Liberty, IN;
three daughters, Sandy (Richard) Scott of North Liberty, IN,
Diane Schlemmer of Bremen, IN, and Kristine McDonald of North
Liberty, IN; two sons, Andrew McDonald and Michael (Jennifer)
McDonald, both of North Liberty, IN; 10 grandchildren, Amy,
Janessa, John, Susie, Allison, Audra, Randi, Rachel, Drew and
Sara; four great-grandchildren, Landon, Alannah, Brianna and
Savanah; a sister, Patricia Alton of Oklahoma City, OK; and a
brother, John (Irene) McDonald of Milburn, FL. Mr. McDonald had
lived in North Liberty for the last three years, previously
living in Georgia and North Carolina. He served his country
honorably in the United States Air Force, serving in Korea. He
was a member of V.F.W. #1954 in North Liberty. Mr. McDonald
retired in 1997 from LinPac, Inc., as the plant manager after 40
years of service in the corrugated industry. Private services
will be held in the Palmer Funeral Home, Lakeville. There will be
no visitation. Contributions in memory of James Edward McDonald
