SOUTH BEND - Mary L. McClish, 66, of 52347 Hollyhock Road, died at 5:15 a.m. today in her home after an illness. Mrs. McClish was born June 24, 1927, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

On March 12, 1960, in South Bend, as Mary L. Hale, she married Ray D. McClish. He died in 1985. She is survived by four daughters, Vickie Mann, Garnet Bentley, Frances McClish and Alice Bouskill McClish, all of South Bend; a son, Bernard Fye of South Bend; three stepdaughters, Marylin Thomas of Frenchburg, Ky., Rosemary Burton of Fort Wayne, and Crystal McClish of Peru, Ind.; two stepsons, Dennis of Clarksville, Ind., and Vesper D. of Northfield, Minn.; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Frances Pendergrass and Hazel Alkire, both of South Bend, Elsie Hensel of Mishawaka, and Jessie Craig of Moorestown, Pa.; and three brothers, Clayton Hale and Ray Hale, both of South Bend, and Ernest Hale of Mishawaka.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the funeral home.
