Obituary:
Charles J. McCauslin April 21,
1915 -- April 8, 2005
Charles
J. McCauslin, 89, of Tanglewood Lane, Mishawka, Ind.,
passed away Friday, April 8, at 8:05 p.m. in the Saint
Joseph Regional Medical Center of South Bend.
Charles
was born on April 21, 1915, in South Bend, to Augustus H.
and Eveline M. (Archambeault) McCauslin. They, along with
three brothers, George E., Archie B., and John W.
McCauslin; and a sister, Ann Evelyn Borowski, preceded
him in death.
Charles
married Sylvia Ann Sosinski on May 14, 1955, in South
Bend. She preceded him in death on Oct. 19, 2002. Charles
retired from Stone Container as an accountant. Charles
served in the US Army during World War II. He was a Notre
Dame graduate of 1948.
Surviving
is his daughter, Cindy (John) Verduin of Granger, Ind.;
along with his four grandchildren, Colleen, Maureen and
Scott, all of Granger, and Hailey (Aaron) Sheets of
Muncie, Ind.
Charles
was a loving and devoted grandfather.
Funeral
services will be held on Wednesday, April 13, at 11 a.m.
in St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, 2120 E.
Jefferson Blvd., South Bend. Friends may call from 6 to 8
p.m. Tuesday, April 12, in the McGann Funeral Home, 2313
E. Edison Road, South Bend. The Rev. Terry Fisher,
pastor, will officiate. Entombment will follow at
Highland Mausoleum of South Bend.
In
lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to
American Macular Degeneration Foundation, PO Box 515, Northampton,
MA 01061-0515.
Special

care shown to Chuck during his illness.
