Edward J. McCartney
  Edward J. McCartney died at 5 p.m. yesterday at the residence of his mother, Mrs. Louisa McCartney, on the Portage road. The cause of death was consumption. Mr. McCartney was 40 years old and had been a resident of South Bend and vicinity all his life. One brother, Charles F., survives him The funeral will take place from the house at 2 p.m. Monday, the Rev. N.D. Williamson officiating.
