10, 1950 - Dec. 23, 2009NORTH LIBERTY- Jon Scot McCallie, 59, passed away at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2009, in his residence with his family by his side. Scot was born on March 10, 1950, in South Bend, to the late Arthur Ray McCallie and JoAnn (Villeret) Manwarren. On May 7, 1983, he married Sandra (Buda) in South Bend, who survives along with their children, Tami Jo McCallie, Kathleen Jo McCallie and Jon Arthur McCallie, all of North Liberty; and by his grandson, Jami Le Frick of North Liberty. Scot had worked at AM General since 1975 and was a member of UAW Local 5 for 34 years. He was a lifelong Cubs and Bears fan. He loved to fish and taught many people to play "trash-talkin" Bocce Ball. Memorial contributions may be made at Southern Care Hospice, 310 West McKinley Ave., Suite 340, Mishawaka, IN 46545; Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend IN 46635; or to the American Cancer Society of Northern Indiana, 601 W. Edison Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2009, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road. A funeral service will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 30, in the funeral home. Burial of cremains will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
