SOUTH BEND - Terry A. Mays, 60, of South Bend, passed away in his home on Tuesday, July 3, 2007. Terry was born on April 16, 1947, in South Bend, to the late Albert and Eleanor (Andrezejewski) Mays.

On April 28, 1970, he married the former Chong Cha Shin. Terry is survived by his wife, Chong of South Bend; three sisters, Kathleen Gregg of Osceola, Noreen (Ron) Ingle of Lakeville and Laureen (Brian) Michalski of South Bend; a brother, Timothy (Diane) Mays of South Bend; a sister-in-law, Oky (David) Lukaszewski of Osceola; and a nephew, Russell Lukaszewski of Osceola.

Terry proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era. He was an aircraft mechanic and met his wife during his tour in Korea. He and his wife had their own local softball team for many years. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal and Chicago Bears' fan.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. today, July 5, 2007, in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2007, in the funeral home, with Rev. Paul Che officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Memorial donations may be made to the family to help with expenses.
