Sister Eva Marie Maynard CSC, 76, of Saint Mary’s Convent, died at 3 p.m. Thursday in the convent. She was born Marjorie Leona Maynard on July 1, 1912 in Los Angeles. She entere the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross at St. Mary’s on Feb. 3, 1931 and professed her vows on Aug. 15, 1933. She was assigned to teaching in elementary schools and taught in California, Idaho, Nevada and Utah. She is survived by a sister, Sister M. Leo Anthony CSC of St. Mary’s Convent.

Services will be at 8 a.m. Saturday in the Church of Loretto with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, both at St. Mary’s. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today in St. Mary’s Convent, where a wake will be at 7 p.m.
