Olive A. Maul, 84, passed away after
an illness at 12:55 p.m. on Sunday, March 7, in the St. Joseph
Community Hospital. Olive was born in Kouts, Ind., on Oct. 7,
1914, to the late Mabel and Rolla Goodpaster. She was also
preceded in death by a son, George R. Maul on May 12, 1997.
As Olive Goodpaster, she married George
Maul, Jr., in Kouts, on July 16, 1930. He survives. She is also
survived by two daughters, Sarah A. Hunter of Mishawaka,
Ind., and Lynn E. (John) Heilman of Granger, Ind.; a son,
Chuck (Nancy) Maul of South Bend; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-
grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren; two sisters,
Colya Wilson and Margie Steele, both of Los
Angeles, Calif.; and by two brothers, Rolla Goodpaster, Jr., of
Hammond, Ind., and Jack Goodpaster of Los Angeles. Olive retired
in 1970, being the owner and operator of the Sea Food Shop on
First Street, Mishawaka, Ind., for seven years.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
on Wednesday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main
Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on
Thursday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North. Burial will take place
at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Graceland Cemetery in Kouts.
