SOUTH BEND - Memorial services will be held at a later date for Catherine A. Maudlin, 87, of St. Joseph Street, who died at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Meridian Nursing Center-Cardinal. Cremation will take place. Entombment will be in Arlington (Va.) National Cemetery. McGann Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Mrs. Maudlin retired in 1974 as a switchboard operator for Indiana Bell Telephone Co.

She was born March 10, 1908, in South Bend. On June 25, 1938, in South Bend, as Catherine A. Kruk, she married Walter E. Maudlin. He survives with a sister, Anna Milewski of South Bend; and three nieces, Eleanor Emrick, Lorraine Kish and Delores Bella, all of South Bend. She was a member of St. Hedwig Catholic Church.
