William C. Matchette

 

William C. Matchette, aged 78, of 122 South Elder Street, died this

morning at at 12:30 o’clock in St. Joseph’s hospital.  He had been ill

for nine months.  Mr Matchette was born March 19, 1857, in Benton, 

Ind., and he came here 24 years ago from Pierceton, Ind.

He was married 56 years ago to Mabel Warner,who died two years

ago.  Later he was married to Della Kissinger, who survives. 

 

Surviving besides his wife are four sons.  Jesse, Owen and Louis

Matchette, of Mishawaka, and Dean Matchette of rural route No. 1,

And three half-brothers, James Matchette, of Bourbon, Ind., and John

and William Matchette, jr. of Pierceton

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock in

The Sprague chapel for William C. Matchette, aged 78, of 122 South Elder

Street.  Rev. B. Gildner, an apostolic minister, will officiate and burial will

be in Fairview cemetery.  The body may be viewd in the chapel this evening

and until the hour of the service

William C. Matchette, age 78, of 122 S. Elder street, died Tuesday

Morning in St. Joseph’s hospital.  He was born in Benton, Ind., and came

Here 24 years ago from Pierceton, Ind.  He leaves his wife, Mrs. Della

Kissinger Matchette; four sons, Jesse Owen and Lewis of Mishawaka, and Dean of rural

Route No1, and three half – brothers, James Matchette of Bourbon, Ind. and John and

William Matchette, jr., of Pierceton.  The funeral will take place at 2:30 o’clock this

Afternoon in the Sprague chapel, the Rev. B. Gildner officiating.  Burial will be in

Fairview cemetery
