James Matchette Succombs To Heat

 

James Matchett, aged 33, is the fourth victim to die in Mishawaka from the extreme heat. He suffered a prostration at noon Friday at his home 210 South Race Street, and died Monday morning at 7 o'clock.

Mr. Matchette was a baker by trade and was overcome by the heat while at work at the Kuss Bakery, and on arriving home at noon was completly prostrated.

Mr. Matchett was born in Pierceton, Indiana, Oct. 6, 1883. He was marred 8 years ago in Warsaw to Miss Georgia Van Warner. The wife and three children survive. Also the father, W. C. Matchette and four brothers. The family moved to Mishawaka five years ago.
