SOUTH BEND - Anna Mae Masters, 81, of South Bend, died
unexpectedly in her residence on Wednesday, June 18, 2008. Mrs.
Masters was born May 15, 1927, in Waterloo, IA, to the late Ralph
and Colleen (McLeod) Fagles, and had lived in South
Bend since 1954.
On August 3, 1945, in Dubuque, IA, she
married David G. Masters, who preceded her in death November 18,
1994. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Verna Fagles,
and a brother, Ralph Fagles. She is survived by three daughters,
Mary Schaaf of Frankfort, Germany, Marcia (Matthew) Bauer
of Niles, MI, and Donna (Stephen) Hodge of South Bend; two
sons, Neal Masters of San Diego, CA, and D. Jeffery Masters of
South Bend; and nine grandchildren. Anna belonged to Westminster
Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. In 1995 she was awarded an
Honorary Membership for her services to the church. She was a
wonderful mother and devoted grandmother. Her family will miss
her deeply and cherish their memories of her.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m.
Thursday, June 26th, in Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1501 W.
Cleveland Road, with Rev. Barbara Wirt officiating. Burial will
follow at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday, June 25th, in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home
North, 17033 Cleveland Road, and in the church from 10:00 a.m.
until the time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to
Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1501 W. Cleveland Road, South
Bend, IN 46628.
