SOUTH BEND - Gerardo Mascorro, Sr., 46, of West Indiana Avenue, South Bend, Ind., died at 4:05 p.m. on Friday, April 4, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend.

Mr. Mascorro was born Oct. 3, 1950, in Texas. He had lived in this area since 1967. He was a former employee of the University of Notre Dame.

He was married Oct. 3, 1970, in South Bend, to Guadalupe Becerra, who survives. He is also survived by six daughters, Tammy Stiffler, Herminia Galicia, Esmeralda Mascorro, Alicia Mascorro, Angelicia Mascorro and Adriana Mascorro, all of South Bend; one son, Gerardo Mascorro, Jr., of South Bend; four grandchildren; and by four sisters and nine brothers.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. on Monday.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Stephen Catholic Church.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
