Sister Des Victores CSC, whose worldly name was Ellen Martin, died Sunday afternoon at 12:15 o’clock in St. Mary’s convent after an illness of five years from paralysis and complications. She was born in Michigan in 1843, received the holy habit in 1865 and was professed in 1870. She had been at St. Mary’s for a number of years.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at 5 o’clock at St. Mary’s , the Rev. Thomas Vaugnier and Rev. Joseph Gallagher officiating. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
