SOUTH BEND - Memorial services for Mary Martin, 75, of Arrowhead Drive, who died at 10:10 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Medical Center, will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity.

Mrs. Martin had been a nurse. She was born Feb. 6, 1920, in LaPorte and lived in South Bend since 1941. On Dec. 27, 1941, in LaPorte, as Mary McCarty, she married John G. Martin. He survives with two sons, John D. of Lafayette, Ind., and Henry G. of Marion, Ind.; and five grandchildren. She was a graduate of Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, Indianapolis, one of the organizers of Meals on Wheels, and a member of Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Chapter BX of PEO Sisterhood and Orchard Hills Country Club, Buchanan. She served as a dulcent at Copshalholm and was one of the first women elected to serve on the Board of Deacons of the church.
