SOUTH BEND - Mary A. Marshall, 80, of Ivy Road, died at 4:59 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mrs. Marshall retired as a teacher from Our Lady of Hungary School and Oliver School.

She was born Nov. 2, 1915, in South Bend. On Sept. 9, 1944, in South Bend, as Mary A. Kuzmitz, she married Don Marshall. He survives with a daughter, Joan Vernetti of San Marcos, Calif.; three grandchildren; and a sister, Joan Sabo of South Bend. She was a member of the parish of Sacred Heart Basilica, the Bethany Group of the church, and Notre Dame Womens Golf League.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Sacred Heart Basilica. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before services in the basilica, where a rosary will be said at 9 a.m. Zahoran Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or American Lung Association
