Evelyn
M. Marlin, 80, of W. Roosevelt Road, South Bend, Ind.,
passed away in the home of her sister, Patricia Birky, on
Thursday, Feb. 24.
Mrs.
Marlin was born on Nov. 9, 1919, in South Bend to the late
Joseph Zakrzewski and Lottie Walkowski. She was the owner of the
former Pickwick Lounge in Syracuse, Ind., and had been employed
with Key Bank, formerly State Bank of Syracuse and the Studebaker
Corporation when she resided in South Bend.
On Feb.
10, 1958, she married Francis Marlin who preceded her in death on
May 13, 1997.
She is
survived by a sister, Patricia Birky; a brother, Joseph Zakrzewski;
a niece, Diane Amm; a great-niece, Hope Amm; and by a
stepdaughter, Phyliss Choquette of Elkhart, Ind.
Mrs.
Marlin was a member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Syracuse.
Funeral
services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 28, in
the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend,
with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends
may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 27,
in the Kaniewski Funeral Home.
