John Markanich, Sr.
June 3, 1913 - Oct. 13, 1994

Mishawaka - John Markanich, 81, of Homewood, Ill., formerly of Mishawaka, 
died Thursday in South Suburban Hospital, Hazelcrest, Ill., of natural causes. 
Mr. Markanich was born June 3, 1913, in Chicago. in 1936, in Chicago, he 
married Gertrude  ?edlecki. She survives with three sons, John Jr.,  Homewood,
Thomas of Des Plaines, Ill., and Kenneth of Dayton, Ohio; seven  grandchildren;
? great grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Penzenik of  Mishawaka and Marie
Sinkiewicz of South Bend; a brother C. J. of Niles.

Service were held today in St. An__'s Catholic Church, Hazelcrest. Burial 
was in Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, Ill. Jerome Zimmy Funeral Home, 
Hazelcrest, handled arrangements.
